Thinking of going back this December

Ok I know i said no more Disney trips at Christmas but DH said maybe if price is right. Looking at the military discount that out there but can get a regular courtyard view at the WL for Dec 13th for 5 nights. For $1498 with dining. After talking to our Exchange Rec office & I have my doubts. They will be doing it but told me not all will be doing it. they haven't gotten the tickets as yet. And once they sell them that it. My problem is I just don't know for sure if we can go. We would have to get the tickets once they come out & if we don't go we would lose the money for my tickets. I know not much but every little thing helps. My question is what area of the WL should I request? I know I want two queen beds. Near the upper or inner courtyard. Or would the rooms near the inner courtyrad be noisy? Help !!

I wish I could help, but I've only stayed in the Villas at WL.
The villas are very quiet, btw, no crazy pool noise, or lobby noise

Ditto here....I've only stayed at the Villas (since we're DVC members

) and, as Mary stated, the rooms have NO issues with noise at all.

I'm sure that we have some folks here on the Boards that have stayed at WL before, hopefully someone can give their insight on it

Well since last night I changed it to the BWI Club level request of DH it means going Dec 13th for 5 nights now. So I know about what rooms to ask for. I would have prefer to go early in the month but no luck maybe i will try again calling & seeing if anything open up. Should have made him do it lol

I did have it back to Dec 6th for WL same quote as before but now Dec 13th. But at BWI I know confusing lol

UPDATE
Called back to put down deposit this afternoon. I asked if they had the BWI early in the month like Dec 6th for 5 nights & they did for a bit cheaper. So I am a bit happier with giving me some more time to plan for no Christmas lol.

When you say upper courtyard do you mean back away from the pool and the inner courtyard as the pool/lake area? The courtyard view rooms will be of the pool, lake or waterfall. The closer to the pool the noisier it will be so I would say upper courtyard.

I like the BWI; love the whole area! My kids love the clown slide. We had a view of the pool which can be a little noisey even in the evening. But, you probably won't have to worry about that in December; the evenings are chilly.
