With the pending opening of the Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney has implemented some changes to the routes of the boats servicing both Saratoga Springs and Disney's Old Key West Resort.

Under the new schedule, Old Key West and Saratoga Springs will each be on separate routes rather than combined as they were under the previous schedule.

One route will service the new dock in the Treehouse Villa area, the existing Saratoga Springs dock near the Carriage House and finally move on to the Pleasure Island dock at Downtown Disney. This new loop will not only provide transportation to and from Downtown Disney, but also serve as a means for Treehouse Villas guests to reach some of the more distant amenities at Saratoga Springs.

A separate route will provide direct service between Old Key West and the Pleasure Island dock.

Each loop should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Guests looking to travel from Saratoga Springs to Old Key West (or vice-versa) will have to change boats at the Downtown Disney dock.

The Treehouse Villas boat dock is scheduled to open on Thursday, May 21st, but some reports suggest the route changes may already be in place.

Tim, I was wondering if Disney was actually going to be adding a dock there. It makes sense. I'm glad that I'll have my OKW direct-connect route to DD again!
