Quick question...
Is anyone planning on visiting the World March 15th-19th?
I'm coming all by myself for a trip to WDW...Wanted to know if maybe I could find a friend to walk around with or something.
Thanks!

What is the WDW Today Tent Weekend? Sounds exciting!
And Oh Pooh, You know I've thought about that a TON...But I'm just so....apprehensive. What are the advantages to traveling alone like that? What kinds of options are available to you? It's intriguing...But I'm just so scared. I would feel so embarrassed waiting in line to meet the characters, or eating alone. Besides, don't you end up paying full price for everything? Like your room can accomodate 4 people, and yet it's just little ol' you? What kinds of things have you done?...How many times have you gone by yourself?
Honestly, it sounds like a well enough idea. I get to do absolutely everything I want to do, without compromising with children or friends. I've never been to the world alone, but I read a Reader's Digest article last year from the 80's that said that if you never had traveled by yourself before, that you've never traveled. That it's so much more exciting, rewarding, and revealing. I just don't know about all that...
I mean, have you ever seen something funny, or totally cool...and like...exclaimed for someone to see it, and no one was around? Like the first time I saw the Alice in Wonderland commercial. I was like "Omg look!" and there wasn't even anyone around...Kind of...anti-climatic?
I think it could be fun...Or possibly going with one of the members on here...Someone who appreciates the rides, characters, parades and atmosphere as much as I do. Someone who totally cares about what happens next, instead of standing there with hands in the pockets looking around saying "Erm, I don't care...Whatever".
It just got sooo much worse watching the Christmas parade this morning on the television, It's only been since October, and I already miss the mouse too much. I've GOT to go back. I'm looking forward to your advice!
Colleen,
I like going alone because I have only me to pleased. I can go where I want, do what I want. Talk to who I want to talk to. I like people watching & taking pictures for those who want to be in a family picture etc.. I have met so many interesting people while at WDW. I don't stay out too late unless near my resort not that I am afraid or anything but I don't like staying out too late anywhere unless I have to.
I like going with my husband but at times he can be a brick tied to my foot if you know what I mean lol. He hates looking in the stores or little side places etc so that why I like going alone. One year I was there & by accident I met a woman I talk to from England that I talked to online & I knew what she looked like as she knew what I looked like. We just laughed our heads off that we were there at the same time. We had so much fun that I missed the Halloween party which was okay as I had more fun with her. So take the chance & try it out.
