Just saw this on the Walt Disney World Resort website....

This live musical production on board a riverboat at Liberty Square features the characters, music and exuberant spirit of New Orleans based upon Walt Disney Pictures' new movie The Princess and the Frog.
Guests will find themselves immersed in the vibrant, festive atmosphere of New Orleans and the mystical Louisiana bayou. Filled with the spirited sounds that originated here jazz, the blues and the zydeco beat Tiana's Showboat Jubilee will make it impossible not to want to move your feet!
Kick up your heels and have a southern good ol' time singing along with this fun-loving cast of characters during this 15minute performance that includes appearances from:
Princess Tiana
Prince Naveen
Louis
Doctor Facilier
Please note: This is a limited engagement the show ends January 3, 2010. So don't miss your chance to see it! Check the Times Guide for the most up-to-date information.
....looks very cool!
What does everyone think of this? I feel it's a great use of the RiverBoat and will certainly bring some life to the Liberty Square area!

I think it sounds fabulous!!! I hope it is something that they might look into keeping if it is popular. I am for most changes. ;0) Heck, it can't be worse than Stitch's Supersonic Celebration!!!

......Just, .
Looks like a great show! I always thought with the exception of Dream Along with Mickey, and Jack's Pirate Tutorial that the park was lacking in a little live entertainment. Makes me wish they would have kept Cinderellabration...Considering they kept Everest, Soarin, and Lights Motors Action.
I want to pitch something....Now I love Soarin' JUST as much as the next person...But California, people can see. What about an attraction just like Soarin' that would be based off DisneyNature Earth, or the upcoming Oceans IMAX and theater films? I love Soarin', I do....But some of the sweeping camera angles and cinematography would have been great in a ride like Soarin'...Giving people an opportunity to see Africa, Asia, and the Arctic?...What do you guys think?

I would like to see an East Coast version like they see the West Coast at Disneyland, Plus shots of the cross section of the U.S. Plus one section of different places in the world. Just my two cents

I think that Disney could double or triple the ride size and do several different "trips" at the same time. You could have the original soarin that was California, then you could do a Soarin USA, or a soarin Europe, Soarin Australia, Antarctica, etc. That would really make it something that people would want to do more than once or twice. I like the ride, but honestly after three times riding it, I have lost interest other than enjoying family and friends ride it for their first time. If they changed the tour that it was flying over by time of day, you could batch people by interest. I think the idea has wings (pardon the pun). I would especially like to soar over New Zealand or Australia since the odds of me actually every going there are pretty remote.

Magic Kingdom to welcome Princess Tiana, new ‘Showboat’ show
The marketing push for The Princess and the Frog, Disney’s next animated film will get another boost Monday, Oct. 26, at the Magic Kingdom. That’s when characters Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen start making appearances in the theme park.
Tiana will be welcomed Monday with a one-time processional down Main Street at 9:15 a.m.
A new jazz-filled show called “Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee” with the film’s characters will saunter through Liberty Square and to the Liberty Bell Riverboat dock three times a day through Jan. 3, 2010. There will be meet-and-greet opportunities also.
The film features the voices of Aniki Noni Rose, Bruno Campos, Keith David, Jennifer Lewis, John Goodman and Oprah Winfrey and will be in theaters on Dec. 11.

Love the picture! Sooo cute! My best friend is "Best friends" with Mickey, and all of his other vertically challenged buddies, and she said the girl who trained her recently was going to be best friends with Tiana. How cool is that? Hopefully they'll be a ton of greeting opportunities. Goooooo Tiana!

I was just there this past Sunday. It kind of was an impromptu trip to the MK. Tommy and I were up there to celebrate a friend's birthday and the next day we decided to go to the MK.
Anywho, we watched the Jubilee and it was amazing. I took a lot of pictures, so when I get a chance I'll be sure to post them!
