I was reading my Unoffical Guide to WDW and I was wondering if anyone had used the touring plans? In the book it states if you use the touring plans, you can save 4 hours of waiting in lines. Do these plans work if the kids want to ride the same rides over and over? I've never used them before and I would like to get some opinions.
Sorry Phyllis
Read about them but never tried them Our way to do it whatever bus comes first that the park we go to unless we have lunch or dinner plans lol

Phyllis, they all sound and look good on paper, but once we get to the parks that all goes out the window! We turn back into our real selves and just wing it! lol
Here is my two cents on the touring plans. I put a lot of faith in the first 2-3 hours of the plans that Len put's out. They'll tell you where to go first and second and how to get on the hot attractions quickly, but due to unknows on any given day at the park, that's as far as I use them. I use the plan as more of a guide and a back-up for my plans than anything else and for that first 2-3 hours. I also think that the Crowd Calendar alone is worth the $7 for all the times I consult it for friends and family. I can vouch that it was very accurate for the last three trips we took to WDW.
My family is the same way! We try to follow them, but for the most part, we follow it for the first hour or so, especially in Magic Kingdom, but after that it is all up to us and what we want to do because something screwy always happens

I didn't know Touringplans.com has a crowd calendar... that is good to know, I may just make use of that for future trips. I agree that information on anticipated crowd levels is worth paying for... especially for travel agents helping clients who are new to the World make plans
