WDW Dining Update to ADR system upgrade - Walt Disney Boards - Message Boards & Forum Discussing The Genius Of Walter Elias Disney!

Wanted to let you all know the latest about the new dining reservation booking system that caused a temporary change in the 180 day reservation window for most Disney dining locations. Because of some challenges in getting the system running, the dates have been pushed back some and the window is now open to Feb. 22, 2009 for ADRs. Here's the full word from Disney:

The Walt Disney World® Resort will upgrade the reservation booking system for dining, recreation and tour reservations in late November 2008. Please note this date differs from the previously communicated date.

In the future, Travel Agents and Guests will be able to make dining reservations online with this new reservation booking system. The launch date for this enhancement will be announced at a later date.

As a result of the system upgrade, now through late November 2008, Guests will be able to book dining reservations up to Feb. 22, 2009. Once the upgrade is completed in late November, booking processes will return to normal, allowing Guests to book up to 180 days of arrival.

The system upgrade will not impact Victoria and Albert’s Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and Chef Mickey’s Restaurant. Those three venues will continue to observe the normal booking processes throughout the system cutover.

Hope this helps if you have ADRs to make for late January or most of February!

I am going to love this if it works properly. I have been getting a kink in my neck on hold trying to get ADR's for a client for his upcoming trip.

Looks like the reservation system window is opening wider again starting tomorrow (Oct. 26th). Advance Dining Reservations will be available for dining dates through March 22nd, 2009.

Victoria & Albert's, Chef Mickey's, and Cinderella's Royal Table will still be available for ADRs 180 days in advance throughout the remainder of the upgrade (which is now scheduled to be completed by sometime in late December).

As a result of the system upgrade, effective Dec. 1, 2008, Travel Agents and Guests will be able to book dining reservations for arrivals up through March 30, 2009. Once the new reservation system is in place, the booking process will return to normal.

Please note these dates differ from previously communicated dates.

In the future, Travel Agents and Guests will be able to make dining reservations online at disneytravelagents.com and disneyworld.com. The launch date for this enhancement has not yet been determined.

At this time, the system upgrade will not affect the reservation process or booking windows for Victoria and Albert’s Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table or Chef Mickey’s Restaurant. These three locations are continuing to observe their existing booking processes.

Note: Any and all dates listed above are subject to change without notice.

***UPDATE***
I just spoke to a CM on the phone, you are still unable to make ADR's passed March 22nd. This CM stated that they are hoping to have the new system up and running on December 22nd!!!
