i posted about this early this month i think but now i am debating, where should i book our dinner?
i didn't book anything for the day we arrive to disney because i am not sure what time we will get there (because we are driving down) so now i am thinking i should just book something and if we make it great if not i will call to cancel, but now i don't know where to book.......
i was thinking at a resort rather then at the parks......what can anyone recommend that is kid friendly also, and how can i get there from the contemp. besides driving our car?
TIA!!
Hmm, well it all depends on what you are looking for. I have heard great things about the Wave at the Contemporary, but I am not sure if it is kid friendly. I know that Chef Mickey's, also there, is a GREAT place to eat breakfast. I have never eaten dinner there, although again, I hear wonderful things about it especially since it is a buffet. Ohana's at the Poly, along with the Kona Kafe are also good and kid friendly. Ohana a bit more so than Kona. They of course are accessible via the monorail. Over at the WL is the Whispering Canyon Cafe which is a great time, very kid friendly and a family style meal is offered, but isn't the only thing on the menu. This is accessible via boat from the Contemporary. These are probably the easiest to get to from where you are going to be. There are lots of other options, but need the bus to get there, and include transfers to other buses. I hope this helps. If you have more questions, ask away!
If you're going to be at the Contemporary, you'll have many options for resort dining that won't necessitate a car. You could take the monorail to the Poly or GF or you could take a boat to Wilderness Lodge or Ft. Wilderness. Of course, you'd also have Chef Mickey's, California Grill and the Wave right in your resort. Chef Mickey's is the most kid-friendly of those by far.

Where do you have reservations for your other nights?
It all depends on where you have your other ressies. If you're looking to stay at the Contemporary, well then you've been given some options above.
If you're grabbing the monorail and heading over to Poly, you've got 'Ohana and Kona Cafe that serve some good breakfast. Grand Floridian has other options as well.
Before we go too deep into suggestions, I'd like to know which other ressies you have though.

There is the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL, it's a hoot. Since you are staying at the Contemporary how about the new restaurant Wave?
