Default Signature Dining -- Date Night & Last Night

In preparation for our 90 day mark, we are drafting our dining selections. We have 2 nights we would like to break away from the kid-oriented restaurants and go to the signature locations. We have tried all of them except Citricos, Flying Fish, and Victoria and Alberts. We love Artist Point, California Grill, and Jiko. Not crazy about Narcoossee's and probably not likely to try it again. And like all the rest.

So here's my questions --

1) DH & I are going to have a date night to get away from all the craziness that comes when you travel with 21 other people. I would like to try Citricos or Flying Fish. DH wants to go to California Grill, which I love too but we were just there in December. Where would you go for a date without baby or other family members?

2) On our last night we would like celebrate with one last amazing meal. At that point there will only be 8 of left including 1 toddler --- who will be asleep because we will do a late dinner. Again, we want a signature dining location. DH would like Artist Point but I am on the fence as we were there last September. So where would you go for an adult celebration dinner?

Thanks for your 2 cents...

CHEERS!

Kathie

Great questions! We LOVE signature dining and are on our way to trying them all. I think for the "date night" I'd do Citricos. I've always had comfortable, memorable meals there. Get a table in the back by the windows and you can sit there forever, just talking.

For the big family dinner, I'd suggest Cali Grill--you could watch the fireworks as a group. That'd be fun!

For the date night, I'd say Narcosse's. It is on the water and if you are there at the right time, you can see the MK Fireworks. It is a tad expensive, but I've heard it is delicious. You can also try Jiko's in the AKL. My parents LOVED it there and rave about it all the time!

For a large group, California Grill is pefect. We have 8 going when I'm going to next week and we cannot wait to eat there.

My DH will not go back to Narcossee's. We didn't have a great meal there a few years back and he's not willing to try it again.

As for Jiko's it is great -- I still have the beer bottle from DH's drink.

Thinking we are going to try Citricos for our date, but not certain....

I would recommend against Citricos. I went once and had a not-great/almost awkward experience. No matter what we ordered, the server recommended another dish, and we were sitting by the open kitchen, and kept seeing the same food going out. So, if someone wanted the salmon or veal, they were in good shape!

Granted, that was 3 years ago and I haven't been back. There are too many places we like better (like California Grill or even Flying Fish) for a nice night out.
