It's Friday, and unlike many other Fridays where I'd be glad to say TGIF, I'm wondering what on earth I just did yesterday. Rewind back to Tuesday when I get a call from my recruiter saying he can get me back up to MEPS to finish out processing. Ok, no biggie, been there before, done that, don't have to worry about the poking and prodding parade of doctors anymore, which is good, but still came out feeling sore and wondering why I was there in the first place?

AP a word of warning..DI do not like jokes when they give orders, just do it Not a joke I had a friend's son who join the marines & he was always in the DI face with jokes & asking why? guess what ? He was kick out very fast. Of course this kid had tons of problems why he join & why they accepted him is beyond me & this was back in the 1980's. So it was no war going on.

Oh one more piece of advice GOOD LUCK !

Actually, they do like jokes, they just don't want you to enjoy them or come up with a follow up. Try not to crack a smile as you're standing at attention, and a DI comes up to you and says" Head up! Suck in that gut! Hands to your side! If you kick a fat puppy in the gut, does it fart? No smiling!"

Yeah, that's the Marines for you, they're hardcore dudes.
