Universal Orlando Resorts’ Facebook page is garnering attention due to “teasing” a new attraction at Universal Studios Florida.
Here’s what the park’s Facebook page says: “Hey fans! We know you’ve been anxiously waiting to hear what our new attraction will be. Before we officially announce it, we’re going to give you a chance to figure it out! Next week, we’ll start posting a new “UORHint” each week, giving you clues about the concept of the new attraction! So the question is, are you ready?”
In March, Universal announced it would be closing down Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast on Aug. 18, and retheming it with a whole new concept. The park hasn’t revealed any details as of yet, but several rumors circulating about mention movie franchises like Despicable Me and How to Train Your Dragon could be among the concepts to replace the film-based simulator ride.
But many comments left on the park’s Facebook page are excited that something else — completely separate from Jimmy Neutron’s replacement — is under development at Universal Studios. A universal spokesperson could not be reached for comment.
Here’s a few of the comment’s suggestions:
• “Dream: Transformers is coming somewhere in the park; Reality: Despicable Me or How To Train Your Dragon.”
• “Replace Terminator 2: 3D with an Avatar 3D attraction, Disaster with the new King Kong from [Universal Studios Hollywood] and Despicable Me to Jimmy Neutron’s now empty space.”
• “I have heard rumors of a Despicable Me ride going where Jimmy Neutron is and Avatar going where [Terminator 2] is. I really wish there was a Transformers ride In the works. Get rid of Twister, Disaster and T2, please.”
What do you think Universal’s next big ride will be?
