Universal Orlando will shut down a Jimmy Neutron-themed simulator ride to make way for a new attraction, the resort said Monday.

Universal said "Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast" in the Universal Studios Florida theme park will close April 1 so crews can begin work on a replacement attraction. The ride will briefly reopen during the peak spring and summer travel periods, before closing permanently on Aug. 18.

Jimmy Neutron made me so sick, I won't miss it at all.

I'd love to see the Funtastic World of HB come back, but I highly doubt that'll happen. The only thing I'll miss from this ride is the chicken dance ending. Yes, I have spoiled the surprise ending, bwahaha!

Some of the rumored replacements are Madagascar and Despicable Me, and a new possibility of a Hop attraction. We'll see what happens come Aug 18th.

The Hannah Barbara version was cool, but I never did get to ride the Jimmy Neutron version.

As far as the replacement, I think it makes sense to use Madagascar or Despicable Me since they have a fan following.

I must admit I have never went on the ride I wasn't taken with the character so the ride had no appeal. Hope the replacement is better.
