Tomorrow night, the Travel Channel will air a special that will include a coaster from Holiday World, the theme park/water park here in beautiful Southern Indiana . We just went there a few weeks ago. My older son rode the Voyage with my husband and sister. Wimpy here passed. Here's the little piece from Holiday World's website:


Holiday World's top-ranked wooden roller coaster, The Voyage, will be featured this Wednesday on The Travel Channel's popular "Extreme" series.
The one-hour episode, rather dramatically named "Extreme Terror Rides," premieres Wednesday evening, featuring top thrill rides from around the world, including The Voyage, which was ranked the #1 Wooden Coaster on the Planet by Amusement Today magazine in 2007 and 2008. (We'll find out next week if Voyage wins again this year.)
"Extreme Terror Rides" will air (and rerun) on The Travel Channel on the following dates and times:
Wed, Sept 2 8:00 pm ET / 7:00 pm CT
Fri, Sept 4 6:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm CT
Sun, Sept 6 10:00 pm ET / 9:00 pm CT
Voyage is Holiday World's longest, tallest, fastest roller coaster. It opened in '06 and still offers more air-time than any other wooden coaster in the world

Yes, Barb, it was me!!! I did get pretty crazy for me, and rode the Raven roller coaster - and the Pilgram's Plunge, which is a ride that takes you VERY HIGH STRAIGHT UP in a boat, and sends you down like a water slide. I only did those because I refused to have my younger son sit alone. I actually kind of liked Pilgram's Plunge (did it 4 times). Someday I'll get my mini-trip report done!!



I do remember that about you from the questions game. Hmmm, something to do with a baby, I believe. I watch live TV, but mostly SpongeBob and such.

We went to Holiday World last summer, but I had been sick and didn't want to risk the coasters. Disneygal rode the Voyage, though, and she reported that it was long, rough, and wild. I'll have to watch the show to see what I missed.
