Johnny Depp is back for MORE, Pirates of the Caribbean 4
As you D23 members may have already heard, Johnny Depp announced he will return for Pirates of the Caribbean 4!
On Stranger Tides (the new title), is scheduled to open in theaters in summer of 2011.

OMG, I am already crying for joy. Is there any other confirmation of others returning?
Ok 2011, I will be pre-purchasing my tickets, will not wait like I did w/ POTC3 till 4pm to try and purchase a 8pm showing. End up they were all sold out and had to take a 930 showing, remember the movie was over 3 hours long.

I could not honestly imagine them being able to successfully pull off POTC4 without Johnny Depp. There is just no way to make that movie work without him. Going to be tough to make it good as it is, because sequels are always a challenge especially when they get past two or three....just look at Friday 13. Glad he is back though Should be interesting.

There are rumors floating around online that Geoffrey Rush may return.
Unfortunately Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley are not expected to be back, but nothing is official yet.
I'm just happy they kept Johnny Depp, I also don't think anything to do with the PotC would exist without him.
Speaking of Johnny, here are two more fabulous tid bits recently announced:
* That he will star as The Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s next movie, Alice In Wonderland.
* Depp is officially signed to play Tonto in the The Lone Ranger film and not the The Lone Ranger himself.

Oh yeah I new about the Alice in Wonderland. I know Johnny enjoys working with Tim Burton, his wife Helena Bohamn Carter is in it too. She play w/ Johnny in Sweeny Todd.
The Tonto one I heard once and never anything else, so it is a go???
I know during the winter I had a POTC marathon watched all 3 on a Sat.

I am just wondering, when this was announced at the D23 Expo by Dick Cook, him & Johnny Depp were close. Then the following week cook's dismissal was announced and concerns rummored that PotC was not a signed, sealed deal and now that Cook was gone that Depp had his concerns working with other Executives.
So has there been any other word of where the release stands
