I know there is a thread on where to avoid the heat, but I was wondering where everyone goes to escape the rain, or in the winter where you find is the bet place to get warmed up if you are cold.
We usually visit in July, so we are used to the heat, the rain is another story. It took us awhile to deal with the rain, we usually would duck into a gift shop and just hang out there till the rain let up, but then we realize we were missing so much and since I had a co-worker that used to live in FL, she would say floridians would deal with it and keep moving, so we just grab poncho's and keep moving.

"You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality." ~ Walt Disney
Our trips to Florida in Summer proved to have a lot of crazy in and out rain showers/downpours. We too had ducked into a shop or grabbed lunch during most of these times. Towards the end we bought ponchos and braved through to go to indoor attractions. It was a lot of pain for us though so we have chosen to avoid summer time from now on and go in fall/winter time.
Epcot is a good place for rainy weather -- each pavilion has a lot to do so you can stay in one place for quite awhile. Then when you have to move on you just go. My most unfavorite place to be in the rain is MK since many of the ques and attractions are outside.
My birthday is in January, and having been born and raised in Florida...my birthday trips were always so frigid and freezing! I remember when I turned Sweet 16, I went to Hollywood Studios, and thought I was going to die. The wind on the parking tram was blowing my face into a chaffed mess, and my hand was frozen and lifeless against my camera lol. During times like these, my favorite thing to do is grab a hot chocolate. I know there is a hot chocolate stand outside Tower of Terror....because that's were I went that day to thaw out. I guess that's why they offer it for free during the Christmas Party...too many tanned Floridians were freezing their Disney-loving butts off! Go for the hot chocolate when it's winter wonderland at the Disney Parks!

Good thought. Thanks. We will be there at Christmas so we will need to plan for the cooler weather. Being from up north, we are used to cold weather, so the 50-60 temps will probably feel nice by our standards, but the hot chocolate is a great idea. Thank you.
