Selena Gomez, 15, has told “Extra” she plans to abstain from sex until she is married.

The newest Disney star, which has rumored to be a replacement for teen sensation Miley Cyrus, has told Extra that she plans to abstain from sex until she is married. The 15-year-old, Selena Gomez, star of Wizards of Waverly Place, told Extra, “I said, ‘Dad, I want a promise ring.’ He went to the church and got it blessed. He actually used me as an example for other kids. I’m going to keep my promise to myself, to my family, and to God.” Gomez seems to have differences from the Hannah Montana star, Miley Cyrus, who has been at the top of the headlines with her scandalous photos in Vanity Fair, and her constant racy photos leaked over the Internet. Hopefully, Gomez will stick to her good girl dreams and not join the numerous Disney stars (High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens too) with photo scandals on their record.

It's refreshing to hear this coming from a 15 y/o in today's society. I hope she keeps her promise to herself.

I think it's all relative Jeff. Look at where Miley and Brittany come from. There they get married at 15. Their values & morals are quite different from most of the countries.
