Okay, so between jobs I have had time to think and play a bunch of "what if" questions with what I want to try to do in my next job. I think I have found a short term project that would be ideal for me, but I need some investors. So here is what it is.
I am willing to have someone pay the cost of me staying in one of the Villa's at the resort for one whole year. I will spend every day in the park for one year and write a book at the end of the year. In it I will discuss my observations about the parks as they transform during the year with the changing seasons and holidays, the changes in crowd patterns, people's behavior and demeanor during different times of the year and conditions, etc.
It is a big sacrifice, but it is one I am willing to make for the sake of expanding the understanding of the intricacies of Disney.
So, who wants to pony up the money and sponsor me? Line forms to the left...

Hmmm, let me think about this. Maybe I can send you my savings, you know, the rolling savings that I use to fund my WDW vacations. That way I won't have to go to WDW and I can leave all the fun to you.
Sounds GREAT!!!!! Check going out in mail today! Hold your breath, I will tell the mail carrier to deliver to the blue person. (Blue due to lack of oxygen)
But really, I am willing to take donations for my WDW trips. I will not promise a book, or any type of work, I just want to have fun.
I am also willing to share in the book proceeds. So consider it more of an investment than a sponsorship. I mean I am doing the work here, I know people will buy this book, I just need the start up cash. Anyone? Anyone? Posted via Mobile Device
The sequel book would be "Disney Around the Globe" I would spend a year going to all of the international parks and do the same thing, stay for extended periods of time and write about how Disney has integrated into the various countries it is in and how the park has impacted the local economies. A third book would be called "Ahoy! Disney on The High Seas" and would involve living on the different Disney Cruise lines for a year. Still not takers to finance me on this?
