For the last 5 years we have visited WDW in September, this year we feel the need to get away earlier, we are thinking 27th May for 14 nights, taking us to 10th June.
What are the crowds like over this period?

We went the first week of June in 2008, just for 3 nights (Thurs - Sun), and the crowds were fairly light. We were kind of surprised. Not light like they are the last week of Jan, first week of February when we really like to go, but still not too bad.

Like yourself we have normally gone in September prefer the crowd levels and temp then. We have only been once in May and I also found the crowds not too bad, you should be alright. Have a great time

We went the first week in June and is was very light crowd. We were told by the cast that the first week in June is one of the best kept secrets. Florida schools are in finals as are many schools along the east and mid Atlantic coast so there are a bunch of tied up kids that first week. The second week gets really crazy though.

I will be there June 5th & leaving June 9th for a short visit. Where are you staying? Hoping the crowds won't be too long. One of the CM I know at the BWI said it shouldn't be too bad just hot !

We are going June 3-10. I love going around this time (in the summer) because the crowds are so light. We go other times during the year but for summer this is one of the best times. Oh and I live in the panhandle of FL and our schools are getting out May 19th. Just an FYI. We use to get out 2nd week in June but the school system changed it this school year.

GREAT! They get out early now??? We might have to change our trip to the first week of May instead of June 7-12. I am really hoping to not have to do that.

And I agree, the first week of June was a great time to go for light crowds. I do remember it being WAY hotter the first week of May 09 than it was the first week of June June 08. And I was about 6 months pregnant in June 08. Could be all in my head though.

Yea this is the first year. I am not sure about the rest of FL though. It might just be Okaloosa County.
