I am thinking of getting an annual pass this year & wondering how it works? I know you get admissions etc (not going with the one with water parks) I have two trips planned, one in Sept (which is under then military discount so I can add dining) And the other one & I added a one day base ticket to it until I get the pass. But I been getting confusing advice from Disney. One told me once I get the AP call them to give them the number & then call back about three months out so they can add dining to it. One told me that I would have to buy a one day base ticket to get dining. I going to use the AP during Sept since we are staying longer & it would be cheaper in the long run to get the AP. Every CM has told something difference. I know the discounts come out later in the year for the time I am going in Nov/Dec. But was told once they have the code i can get dining added on without the one day base ticket. Three CM told me this but I am confused

I was told if I have the AP when the Christmas tickets come out I can get the discount.

Yeah, good question! We are debating AP for this year also due to our very short trip in June and our long trip in December (or somewhere during MVMCP). My TA told me that it was hard to tell if it would save us money since the room only discounts don't come out too far in advanced. I think we might still get them for us. DD is still 2 for the first trip and will be 3 for the later one. So we will not be getting her an AP.

Ty Tammi when you find anything let me know. I am hoping for a discount but if not I at least want the dining which I was told I could get once the codes are out. And if I get lucky & get a discount even better lol.

Ok, let me see if I can help with what I know.

We plan on getting an AP this yr, becasue we have a 3 day trip in April and a 10 trip in Aug. With the MYW tickets you can purchase up to days days and then you have to start over. Since we are DVC members we get a Discount on the AP.

The are 2 types of pass- The annual pass & The Premuim AP- Let me pass this on I use Allears.net for research info and found it ot be helpful. Here is a page from the site that might help.

Okay, I got it told to me very clearly now. I can buy one & wait until the code comes out & change it over to an AP package. She suggested since it a way out to leave my package as it is now & change it later which I will do. Thanks Shelley the site helped a bit but calling the number one CM told me to call for AP helped out better than the page

407-566-4985 (not the number on Allears though) I think this is the number you use to buy the AP. I think we will go with this once we pay taxes (I take the snow over paying taxes )

YOur welcome, yea I am not sure how out dated the info is on the site. But i had done what they had stated and did my home work, I did price analysis and decided that the AP was best for us since were DVC members & I think I am going to spend the 75.00 to get a TIWL card to get addtional discounts. We do not plan to get the DDP since the cost seems to be going up and I can have more control on spending with food.

Since we have a April & Aug trip planned and I am stirring the pot in my mind to sneak a Oct trip in.

Oh yes, I use allears.net A lot!!! Love that site! I just need the AP, nothing special.

I not sure but I think the site was updated on the AP was back in 2009. It was helpful but didn't answer my question so that why I call again & got routed to the number I listed. The dining plan works better for us as it is pre paid & since we got it booked already if the price goes up we pay for what it was when we booked

Beside DH didn't want the another one.

You are not trying for another Christmas trip?

No not xmas, I really want to see the parks decorated for halloween. I see the parks 2 times w/xmas decorations so ready to see something new.

The only park decorated for Halloween is MK in case you were wondering They are rather nice. Try to do the party & see the headless horse man. Only runs when it is dry though he won't run if raining or pavement is wet. Found that out one year & it rain most of the day & the pavement was still wet so no headless horseman the only reason we went lol We might do it this September though not sure.
