I have a quick trip planned 12/4-12/6 - Walt Disney Boards - Message Boards & Forum Discussing The Genius Of Walter Elias Disney!

You know I always wondered how can people do a quick trip to WDW. When my family goes it is for at least 10 days.

Well I will find out what those quick trips is like in the next few weeks.

I am a big follower of J.L. (@NDM1) at Disney Driven life, if you are not aware that J.L. and Nicole S( @njsiscaretti), John (@Big Fat Panda) & Scott N. (CollecTM) have a Vidblog show called inner mouse, directed by Keith Barrett. That happens every Tuesday. If you want more just go to the DDL life website and the link should be there.

The DDL/IM group is having their 1st offical meet on Dec. 5th at 3pm at the the Jumbo House at the AK. For me I so wanted to be there, J.L. has been a great neurotic inspiration to me and I have just enjoyed her blogs, she has this great personality that makes you feel welcomed. So how could I see if hubby would approve? I looked at flights & DVC points we would have to use for the 3 of us ( I am one that I come w/ info to present a strong case) then I said but to save a little it would be a fun girls weekend. His response was sure you can go, talk about leaping out of my skin.

I worked so hard all weekend, it was a on trip, then off and it played that pattern most of the weekend, until last night a dear friend of mine Stacy that is w/ WDWtravels was able to get myself & my DD-11 a room at the ASM. Now mind u I have never stayed at a value resort ( yes I am a little spoiled) but u have to remember I am a DVC owner and we stay a week to 10 days at a time we need homey accomidations. I will say though for a 2 day trip I think ASM will be just perfect.

I am undecided if I should get park tickets or not. I am not going to do any ADR's for 2 days I think we can manage on QS.

Now I just need to get those flights booked

Shelley ! Book those flights now ! The cost is rising each day if not each hour lol. But they do go fast. United has a non stop that leaves at 8:15am but not sure how much as we booked ours months ago & it was cheap well you know how it can be. Good luck.

Barb,

Where are you flying out of? I had to convience hubby to broaden our serach to BWI & National, since all flights out of Dulles had stops and seemd high I hope to have my flights booked by the end of this day.

Congrats Shelley. I wanted to go to that meet but we leave Disney that day for our cruise. Please do a report on it. I am sure that there will be something up on the blog too. Hope you got your flight booked.

So you will be in Disney and leave on the 5th for the cruise? I arrive on the 4th and have a room booked at All Star Movies.

Oh you dont know how excited I am. I will be taking alot of pics. On Sunday I will go over for the event at 3pm, I am thinking of getting tickets for the MVMCP, so hang at the event even if it is for 2 hrs and then head to the MK for the party. Then fly back home on monday.

Yea have been checking flights all morning.

This is exciting! DO IT! I really liked Movies. None of the buildings are far from the food court. We realized this after we left EPCOT to go to Movies to look for a magnet, which they do not have. We were staying at Music this time but had stayed at Movies in 2008.
You will like it. There was a really really strange hole in the floor in our room though. It was very strange, all the way through the concrete. Kind of eerie.

I am flying out of Dulles (IAD) on United, they have flights ava. Flt# 379 leaving at 8:17AM non stop getting to Orlando at 10:40AM + & back on 6th on #219 at 11:59am non stop. Cost $514.40 pp. Coach.

I checked USAIR leaving from National (DCA) leaving at 8:38 AM non stop Orlando 11:00 AM back on 6th #1880 at 1:30Pm non stop tells me $!40 before taxes etc all total is $509 for three. Coach.

I will warn you about USAIR we used them for most of our Disney trips & no problems. When we go in Nov we worry about the weather as the plane leaves from Conn. So if they have heavy snow or bad weather then I guess we would have been cancel.

The United from Dulles start from Dulles so no worries unless we have bad weather. So Pat keep your snow

Act as soon as you can as it can go up. Not sure what times you wanted. Seem like all the later flights had connections on both airlines.

LOL, You, I have been so giddy and hubby says something I am sure ok, what ever, my co-workers said they have not seen me this Happy since my last trip.

I know R is so excited to see M and to make new Disney friends her age. I realized on our trip in Aug & seeing R & M just hanging that the experiance for a child that age to have someone else that age makes it even more memorable.

I know I have plans to hook up w/ @Ehugh on day of arrival in DTD.

Don't worry Barb. I will be on route for Disney when you fly out and in Disney when Shelley is in the air. So I will make the snow stay up here with Jen. She will love it. Especially now that she has a new car.

How exiting!! I'm excited for you. I can picture that smile on your face - that Disney glow. And the fact that it's spontaneous just makes it even more exciting. I'll bet you feel that you've just been given the gift of feeling the excitement that children feel. It really is hard as an adult to have that full-on, giddy, joyous feeling that we had as kids.

Ok Just want to mention my flights were booked as of last night. I am flying out of Reagan National in DC. My flight on 12/4 departs at 8:34 am and I arrive in Orlando at 11:02 am.

Then on the 6th my return date I leave Orlando at 6:20Pm and arrive back in DC at 8:24pm. So I am really getting 3 full days in WDW! can i just say I am

Fantastic! I am getting excited for this "trip". It is going to be great seeing everyone that is able to make it down. Don't worry, for those that aren't able to make it, I can promise a lot of pictures, and a few posts to my blog from the parks. I will do my best to make you all feel as though you are right there with us.

I am so excited right now I can hardly sleep. This is the 1st time I have attended any kind of meet or event and also my DD-11 she will get to meet other kids her age and I think she is going to have a blast!

Now here is a funny thought, I always wonder when I go if this will be the trip I just refuse to go back home. Since it is just me & the DD and we just boo hoo so much when leaving, my hubby not going to be there to make us leave if this will be the one & I chain myself to the gates of the MK, LOL
