Ok family,
I need to recover from being in DHS yesterday. I just want to say DHS is not one of my Fav. parks. but we do it because of basically 3 rides. RnR, TSM & of course my DH's fav. ToT.
We did not arrive at this park till almost 11:30. The crowds we miserable!!! Almost all the main rides we at 2 hr waits. As soon as we arrived my DH tried to get us FP for TSM, but they were already sold out.
So first attraction we were pretty much able to get right on was the "Great Movie Ride" as we were boarding a young lady by the name of Jess used to attend our Church in VA and taught my DD's age.(She has within the yr relocated to FL and is now a CM @ the MK). She called to tell me she was in the park to meet us. I can tell you as soon as we got off the ride & my DD walked out, saw her standing there so made my day.
With Jess with us for a while we saw the Block Party Bash and since Jess is a CM she knows other performers in the parade which made it fun for Raena.
Jess spent several hrs with us and I saw AI for the 1st time, it actually was an awesome attraction.
We had dinner @ 50's Prime Time Cafe' I will say that the food was pretty good, but our waitress just did not seem to be in her roll she hardly interacted with us it was disappointing since the table across from us was having a blast with their waitress.
As we were paying for our meal the waitress looks at me and says oh, it's our B'day( I had my B'day pin on) I said yes, she then gets all excited and tells the whole room to sing to me. At this point i just did not care.
We saw the Osborne lights. They were beautiful again the crowds we like fighting the masses. Some guy ran my husbands foot over with a heavy duty stroller and left a bad bruise.
I will say even w/ EMH we were never able to ride TSM
we were able to ride RoR 3 times.
returning to our resort right before 11pm the buses again were packed.
Here are some pics from the day.
Will give you more later, since we visited ASMR for lunch & then on our return we went and visited the area of the Tree House Villas.
