No pictures but I LOVE TRADING STARTED IN 2004 have 1167 pins and 10 books filled up its fun to do along with disney clothes and ceramic dolls of the princesses and about over a thousand pictures on my computer my wife knows I am a Disney nut hot o:
I don't even want to start getting into the collecting mode with the pins because I know that I'd go overboard. I've been collecting sports memorabilia (mostly sportscards) for the past 25-30 years off and on and have a decent collection. I've also collected comic books in the past among other things. So, I'm a "collector" and I know that once I get the Pin Bug, I wouldn't be able to get rid of it.

I do not pin trade, but I think I know the general idea. You can go up to any cast member and ask to see their pins. If you see one you like then you can trade. There are also actual locations set up that you can take all your pins and people can come and trade with you. The two locations I know of are in Downtown Disney and at Epcot. Some people that are really into it buy two of each pin, one to keep and one to trade. Some people just buy specific cheaper pins to trade. This is just my take and I am sure an actual pin trader could give you more details.

I've seen people hanging out at the tables in Epcot - at the pin trading station near opposite the tip board, near Spaceship Earth.
Does Disney allow anyone to go there to trade? Or sell?

Disney allow trade but no selling of the pins. Be careful though some will try to rip you off. Rule is one pin for one pin if they want to trade. If CM they have to trade unless they have two pins on their lanyards but I have never had a problem with this. Guess it depends on the CM. But people are allow to bring in their pins for guest to look at & trade if they like what you have to trade. I always if I wear my lanyard (lately I haven't) I ask them if they see anything they like if they do then I look. I don't want to be bother looking & finding one for them to say no
