Back from our vacation at Disney and it was great. Now we are planning for our late spring/early summer vacation. We are planning to do a split Vero Beach/Disney trip in late May - early June. We want to see the Flower/Garden Festival and attend the Star Wars Weekend for DH. Then we want to take a Disney break and go R&R at the beach.
Question is how long should we stay at Vero Beach?
We are thinking 3 or 4 nights. Is 3 long enough? Is there enough for a 2 1/2 yr old to do for 4 nights?
We did Vero Beach last yr. All I can say, LOVED IT!! forgive me on what I am going to say next. I love WDW, but I get so burned out from the parks.
When we went we did 3 days. I cannot say as what activities they have for a 3yr. My girls were 10&9. They did though enjoy just walking the beach and collecting shells. They do have an activity sheet that will list things to do. What I did was call them a month before we were to arrive and they sent me a sample activity letter ( activities can change) We of course did the pool, they had putt putt golf near the pool, so I know we played that.
But for us 2 just relax & not running to a park is a must for me, then to be near the ocean was top notch.
Oh before I forget my DH rented a wave runner ( made me nervous sick when he took my girls out in the Ocean).
Last thing I want to say is I have realized that over the yrs kids are happy with a pile of dirt & water.

We decided on a 4 night stay at AKL followed by 3 nights at Vero Beach. We chose the Beach Inn ocean view room for its location and view. I am really looking forward to this -- should be great!
I stayed at Disney's Vero Beach Resort before it was considered a vacation club property, and before it was absolutely ravaged by a hurricane and remodeled.
I was only about 10 years old, and my grandmom took me for the weekend.
So much fun. One of my best memories with my grandma by far, they had mini golf, a great mickey shaped pool and water slide, an arcade, a Disney video library and we ordered room service once or twice as well. They even had like, a Goofy's bon fire or something, probably similar to some of the Fort Wilderness Campground functions. It was on the beach, and absolutely beautiful. I wish you guys all the best and am eager to hear what's new there!
