When the Treehouse Villas open this June, Disney intends to provide shuttle service between the two treehouse bus stops and The Springs location within Saratoga Springs.

A two bus shuttle will operate from 7:00am until 2:00am daily. These buses will travel in a loop to each of the two Treehouse Villas bus stops and then to The Springs bus stop near the Carriage House, and then back to the Treehouse bus stops.

All Parks and Downtown Disney buses will continue to pick up and drop off at the current five stops at Saratoga Springs Resort.

This is similar to the arrangement in place at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Returning guests disembark at a single bus stop near the front of the resort and must board a second "internal" bus in order to reach their campsite or cabin.

Treehouse Villas guests will use the internal buses to reach the stop at The Springs. From there they can board a second bus in order to reach one of the Disney Parks or Downtown Disney. Additionally from this location they will have easy access to the High Rock Spring feature pool, the spa, both resort restaurants and many other Saratoga Springs recreational activities.

Personally, the idea of staying in a Treehouse Villa just lost some of it's appeal after reading this. Take the bus to the bus to the park?

No thanks!
Unless I specifically have plans to drive down to WDW or to rent a car, there will be no Treehouses in my plans.

I would love to stay there but would have to have a car.

This is sort of similar to something that happens at Coronado Springs during conferences. They have these golf cart things that they use to take the luggage around but can also seat people, and they zoom you around the lake with them. Had a wild ride on one of them once! I wonder if these are the vehicles they plan to uses as the "shuttles" or will they be regular busses?

Would definitely need a car on this one; but, then again, we ALWAYS get a car. :-)

I'd still like to experience the Treehouse Villas though. But, I agree, this isn't the best arrangement and you'd probably want to take your own vehicle in this case.

One of the perks of staying on property is the ease of transportation from resort to park. This concept ruins that for me. Oh well.
