Nearly everyone is aware of the worldwide influence of Disney animation and theme parks, but few people realise that music is the foundation of the studio’s remarkable success. Disney: The Music Behind the Magic tells the story of how Disney has used music to engage audiences, drive its narratives, and succeed in everything from cartoons, TV, theme parks, and live-action films to Broadway and the Billboard charts. The exhibition includes:

• rare artifacts
• interpretive films
• a game show testing your musical knowledge of Disney
• and the chance to create sound effects and remix Disney hits

We've also got some extra-special musical treats to keep your feet moving, including the return of the giant walk-on piano that's back by popular demand. We've got a drum tree you can bang away on, a fantasy stage where you can act out your favourite fairy tale, musical guests your whole family will enjoy and an opportunity to express musical impressions through visual art in our Draw the Music feature.

I got excited about visiting this...until I saw that it was in Vancouver, BC. Oh, well! I guess if I'm ever out west I know a place to go visit!
