I am so excited that the hat will be coming down. I use to love walking into the park and seeing the Chinese Theatre. It was like walking into MK and seeing the Castle. Hopefully they will not put another huge prop in front of the Theatre. It would be great to see impromptu movies or scenes being filmed in the courtyard outside the Theatre. Just like there are street shows put on today but perhaps with a little more flare. That would be exciting!

I have never seen it any other way. So, in a way I am really kind of disappointed that the hat will be gone. On the other hand, I am excited to see what they do with the area.

I am intrigued by this post, as I understood that the Hat was now the "permanent" park icon. Since the agreement with MGM went away, and the Theater is "their" icon. I really don't care one way or the other, but I do like it as the park icon. I mean, everything printed is going to have to return to the Theater? This will be interesting to watch and see what happens.
