Nancy Walker, who appears in the 1973 live-action feature The World's Greatest Athlete as Mrs. Petersen, is born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (She will be best remembered to TV fans as Rosie on the commercials for Bounty paper towels and as Ida Morgenstern on the comedy series Rhoda.)
1929 - For the first time since moving to Hollywood,
Walt Disney delivers a cartoon without a continuing character. Skeleton Dance is the first of the Silly Symphonies series and marks young Les Clark's debut as an animator.

Pluto cartoon In Dutch is released.

Beast, is born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She has also voiced

1959 - Walt Disney's daughter Sharon marries Robert B. Brown (a designer with an architectural firm) at the Presbyterian Church in Pacific Palisades, California. A reception follows at the Hotel Bel Air in Beverly Hills.

1987 - The Wonderful World of Disney airs the 1979 film "The North Avenue Irregulars".
1989 - Episode 13 of MMC airs on Disney Channel. Today is Anything Can Happen Day!
1996 - The television sitcom Step by Step airs part 2 of "We're Going to Disney World."
1996 - The television comedy series Boy Meets World airs the episode "The Happiest Show on Earth" - which takes place at Disney World.
2002 - Paul Revere & The Raiders begin a 3-day engagement at Epcot - as part of the
Flower Power Concert Series. They perform at America Gardens Theatre.
2004 - Disney's next live musical On the Record begins a workshop in New York City. The workshop cast will be testing out the new show which features many beloved Disney songs. (The On the Record tour will kick off November 9 in Cleveland.)
2005 - Kim Possible: So the Drama is released to DVD.
2006 - Disney's new stage musical Tarzan officially opens on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City. In attendance is Danton Burroughs - grandson of Edgar Rice Burroughs, the original author of Tarzan of the Apes!
2006 - Disney's After Show Party for Tarzan takes place at the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis (located next door to the Richard Rodgers Theatre).
2007 - To mark the one year anniversary of Tarzan on Broadway, Michael Lassell, author of Tarzan: The Broadway Adventure, hosts a starry book signing party at the Lincoln Square Barnes & Noble bookstore. In attendance are the show's stars Josh Strickland, Jenn Gambatese, Chester Gregory II and its Oscar-winning composer Phil Collins.
2008 - Disney's Hollywood Studios previews Toy Story Mania for annual passholders only. The new 3-D attraction will officially open May 31.
