Fact for the Day
Several attempts, in the early 1970s, to make a wave machine work near Disney World's Polynesian Village Resort resulted in failure. The plan was to have artificial waves crash along the beach. But the waves caused massive beach erosion, & the machine was switched off only a few months after the resort opened.
